About The Event

Hi Friends of Wounded Veterans Project Inc and The Shamrock!!!!

I know you have all be patiently waiting for an update on Dunk for a Vet 2 event due to CO-VID!!!!

UNFORTUNATELY,

the 3rd phase (for bars/restaurants) as not even come out yet and we have to make some decisions based on the stage we are in NOW (Thanks Governor!) I know this is BUMMER for EVERYONE but trust us, it is MORE of a bummer for myself and Erica! We want to run this event exactly the way we did last year, with some more improvements that we were working on, but unfortunately we just can't due to state guidelines. However, we don't want to give up on the event all together because our mission is to HELP VETERANS so we are just tweaking things a little. Hopefully we can all focus on the CAUSE and not the changes because we all love our Veterans and want to help make a difference to them.

So this is what we have decided to do.....

We will be holding the ride as a POKER RIDE.

Sign up times will be from 11-2pm at Shamrock. Sign up any time with in that time and head out then. Don't all wait til 2pm to ride together. We are hoping that you all come at different times throughout registration so that we can spread you all out throughout the day. The ride itself should last you about an hour but that depends how long you stay at each stop. This way you can stay as long as you wish at each spot as there won't be a specific time you have to be back at The Shamrock. Enjoy yourself out there! I will post the stops later.

When you get back,

we will have raffle tickets for sale and a 50/50. We will also be feeding you all a delicious catered meal! YUMMMM!!!! But there has to be rules followed that the state has put upon us that we have no control over. We have to follow these rules so the Shamrock doesn't get jammed up and our mission cancelled. So when you get back, grab your chow (that you are going to LOVE!!!!) and take a seat. There should be plenty of room for all to eat since you are all going on the ride a different times. When you need to get up from your seat, pls just put your mask on but feel free to take it off whenever you are sitting. That is no different that what we all have been doing, at any restaurant, now a days but just wanted to friendly remind you. We will have to keep capacity at a limit throughout the day.

We will be having a small acoustic awesome band but unfortunately not LA's Back Stage Pass. This is probably the biggest disappointment! WE LOVE THIS BAND!!!! And so does EVERYONE else which is why we just can't host them due to the crowd they would bring. Hopefully next year we will be able to have them to make up for this darn co-vid year from hell!

There will NOT be swag bags and we won't be able to have the Dunk Tank. UGGGHHHH I know, bummer! We were having so much fun planning it this year and asking front guys from local bands to be in the tank to help raise money for Vets! Wouldn't that be cool?!?!? Ok, NEXT YEAR FOR SURE!!!

We won't have vendors. Sorry! And that includes me too so yea it is a bummer but it is what it is.

The raffle drawings will go LIVE so you don't have to be here to see who wins or to get your prize. We will hold prizes for you at Shamrock to pick up at a later date if you are not here when we call your name.

Since we are not having the dunk tank, which is a bummer because this helped raise a LOT of money for Veterans last year. What we have put in it's place is....

A COMPETITION to get SPONSORS for YOUR INDIVIDUAL RIDE!

Print out this attached sheet OR get one from The Shamrock or myself. Try to get donors who will sponsor your ride. Fill out their info and collect the amount they are willing to sponsor you. When you get to The Shamrock, turn in your sheets and donations. We will tally up to see who raised the most money and that person will receive a % of the TOTAL donations raised from this entire sponsorship idea....not just from the ones you raised but a % of the money raised by EVERYONE sponsoring.

Wounded Veterans Project Inc, while partnering with The Shamrock, has been able to raise monies that 100% went to help several in need Combat Veterans so far and that is ONLY due to the HELP WE RECEIVE FROM YOU ALL!
